The Rain Alert is a wireless measurement device that allows you to monitor the level of your tank/s from the comfort of your own home. A Transmitter fits to the top of your tank/s and a Receiver is plugged into a power outlet at a convenient location, such as the kitchen, bathroom, garage or shed.

Digital Level Indicator
The Digital Level Indicator reliably displays the water level in a water storage tank from 0 to 100%. A weighted sensor hangs from a plastic junction box that is mounted inside the tank just above the water level.
Note: The standard sensor is designed for tanks up to 10 feet deep and a longer version is available for tanks up to 20 feet. |
A control wire connects to a wall mounted digital display that can be located up to 150 feet from the tank. The digital display is attractive enough to be installed in a home’s living room but is also splashproof for installation in a utility shed, garage or mechanical room.
The entire system is powered by a 24 volt transformer which permits safe and easy installation without an electrician. Unit is easily calibrated by pressing a button when the tank is full.
TIP!: Use 18 awg irrigation cable to connect power from the digital display to the sensor junction box located in the cistern.

How it works!
The weighted float and indicator are connected to the counterweight by separate cords, each cord running over a pair of pulleys. When the float is half-immersed everything is balanced. Rising liquid level lifts the float up, the counterweight moves down, and the indicator keeps pace with the float. Falling liquid levels causes the weighted float to pull the counterweight up, and again, the indicator keeps pace with the float. At all times the indicator matches the liquid level exactly.
